Redirecting from home page to post/pages error in WordPress 3.0 – [Solved]
Before a week, I upgraded my word press blog from version 2.8.4 to 3.0 versions. After upgrading, i faced some 301 redirection issues i.e., once I publish new post or page, home page will automatically redirects me from home page to new post/page. I Google around the websites for the solution nearly for 2 days. But, I can’t get the clear solution for my problem. At last, i got the solution. Yes, problem is with my redirection plugin. Redirection plugin plays a role here. You can fix the problem by removing the 301 redirects added by redirection plugin.
1. Go to Tools –> Redirection from your WordPress dashboard.
2. Click on the ‘Groups’ link found at the top.

3. You should now be able to find a redirection for the root (\) to a page in this group. Select this redirection and delete it.

That’s it. This should solve your home page redirection problem in WordPress 3.0.

Franesco, honestly I would just get rid of the plugin and go in and manually assign redirects using your .htaccess file. That’s what I ended up doing, it’s a bit more work but it’s worth it to prevent your blog from constantly getting redirected. There’s lots of articles online about how to do it if you haven’t modifed your .htacces file before.

I can’t tell you how badly I was looking for this solution.
First, I thought it was some problem with the edits I did in my theme. Later I thought, perhaps there is some problem in the wordpress files. I looked for a source of the problem for around an hour.
Then I searched it on Google. This page was listed there as the first result. Came here and you have given a perfect solution.
