Mine was Vijana. Yes, Vijana. No, it’s no esoteric Sanskrit term. My brother’s ‘Jana’ was added to ‘Vijaya’ from mine and thus, a simply mechanics of combination yielded an alter name that was to stick with me for life. In fact, during my under graduation, most people including the faculty members, knew me as Vijana.
